Free Car Seats

The Pregnancy Resource Centers of Central Oregon believes that life is valuable and we want to ensure every child has the opportunity to be safely transported in a vehicle. We realize having a baby can have a large financial impact on any parent or family. We want to make sure every child has access to a new, high-quality and safe car seat.

How to Receive a Free Car seat

Our Educational Programming was established to help parents prepare for the birth of their child. We require all individuals requesting a car seat to complete the following – usually 1 month before the birth of their child

  1. Visit your local Pregnancy Resource Centers of Central Oregon and sign up to be part of our Educational Programming.
  2. Watch 10 educational videos online (one of these videos must be a carseat safety video), complete the corresponding worksheet/homework and report what you have learned to a team member.
  3. Watch a car seat installation video regarding the safe operation and use of your new car seat.

Car seats are provided to clients and members of the community as we have them available.  We can not guarantee the brand or type of carseat provided and are unable to take requests.
